I'll stamp all over 'serious boxer' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As both boxers engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
